The project
Occupying the plot without clearing it.
The original plot was wooded and gently sloping, with an existing building that has been kept. Rather than lining the houses up, the layout spreads them across the site so each one keeps its own garden and outlook without looking straight into its neighbour.
Flat-roofed volumes, planted on top to cut thermal load and run-off. At ground level, long runs of glazing open onto the garden and pool; the upper volume is clad in natural stone that breaks up the pale render.

A residential town west of Lyon, in the inner metropolitan ring. The map shows the town; we don't publish the exact boundary of the plot.
